ShayDIY was created back in
July 2016 when I was in uni, feeling trapped between what I wanted to do
and what everybody around me told me I should do. I felt lost and
terrified. I struggled my whole life and writing a blog was my creative outlet
and getaway where I could tirade about my struggles and dreams. And the most
astonishing thing was; People could relate to what I was writing! My blog is
updated 3 to 4 times a month, I know that’s not much (but with university and
stuff); I do try.
I am motivated by many things - clean design, typography,
shades, creativity, and sentiments - and I like to share them with my readers.
I'm also a committed Christian - who loves Jesus. I am extremely open about my
faith, so feel free to learn a bit more about my testimony here.
Eventually ShayDIY became more than just my outlet. My aim is to generate a
community that has a longing more out of life. Dreamers who desire to attain
their goals and be more planned, while living an intentional and mindful life
doing something they’re passionate about. An online destination where style and
